I've been living in the Netherlands now over a year, working in a tattoo and piercing shop. Gaining inspiration. I’ve always loved all things colorful and bold. I've been on YouTube now for over 10 years! ...I LOVE dying hair!

What is your nationality?

British, independent business woman.

What initially inspired you to start your own social media channels?

I get bored easily... so one day I discovered YouTube... when I was 12 years old... and I was inspired to make how to videos! I'm now 23 and still continue to create how to videos ... now helping to inspire people all round the world... a journey to self discovery!

What does your morning routine look like?

COFFEE! Always a coffee in the morning, followed by some quick makeup, foundation, mascara and winged eyeliner :) Keeping up to date with the YouTube and Instagram... Then try and get creative and make something totally awesome!

What is your top beauty secret/hack?

Putting a little bit of Arctic Fox Hair Color in my conditioner bottle, so when I wash my hair it keeps the color nice and bright! :) It's like magic!

Describe your dream vacay!

I love traveling, I’ve been to a few places. Being English I love the Dutch life! Aha... but I would love to visit the U.S. again... I went open sea fishing YEARS ago at Miami Beach and that was amazing!

Go-to beverage and/or cocktail?

Strawberry daiquiri PLEASE. Mmmm I don't normally drink alcohol but now I do, it's nice with friends.

Name 3 songs on your current music playlist!

I'm obsessed with Die Antwoord at the moment. I like music to have a good beat. I listen to anything from techno/dubstep to instrumental classical ;)

What goals do you want to accomplish this year?

Goal is to create some more awesome content on social media and make some WICKED tutorials on YouTube!

I'm a 22 year old girl living in Toronto with a passion for blogging and sharing all aspects of my life! I've been fashion blogging for about 3 years now and It's just amazing to be able to pursue something I absolutely love. What most people don't know about me is that I graduated at the University of Toronto last year with a History and Classical studies major, something completely opposite of what you might expect haha.

What initially inspired you to rock your beautiful red hair?

Well to be honest I've always been obsessed about changing my hair colour ever since I was a little girl. I remember I had these nasty thick blonde highlights (against my super black hair) when I was in 7th grade and it looked absolutely awful but I loved it because the idea of just dyeing my hair made me SO happy - it was like a visual expression of who you are in a way. Since then I've dyed my hair all the colours you could think of haha. I started off with safe colours like brown and blonde and eventually made my way to purple, pink, blue, teal, pastels, and now the red I have today! But I have to say red is the colour i've stayed with the longest because something about it just feels like me. It's loud and unapologetic and definitely a colour I won't be changing anytime soon... maybe.

What is your go-to everyday hair style?

I actually love to wear my hair down and straight the best. It sounds plain but my hair is super long, about 3 inches past my belly button. I worked so hard to take care of it and keep it healthy (despite all the hair dyeing) so I like to show the length off!

Haha if only every day was a lazy day! Ideally I'd get to sleep in, order in sushi, marathon Friends on Netflix with my boyfriend and my two cats, order in sushi again for dinner, and nap. That would honestly be such a great day in my standards haha.

Favorite travel destination?

Favourite travel destination I've been to by far would be Orlando when I had my first Disney World experience! Something about being in the happiest place on earth, it makes me feel like a kid again. Favourite travel destination that I want to visit though would have to be Rome and Greece. I mean all that history I've learned when I was in University has to pay off somewhere right??

What's your go-to comfort food?

If my ideal lazy day wasn't hint enough, that would be sushi. I once went five straight days eating only sushi. 10/10 would do it again.

What's your favorite thing about your kitty, Appalonius lll? :)

Haha omg! My cat is actually named Appa, we call him Appalonius III because he walks around like he's royalty. He's also not a kitty anymore but actually 11 years old! We adopted him a year ago when my boyfriend suggested we take a look at some cute cats for fun at the cat adoption weekend (and totally not to adopt). But of course I saw Appa and told my boyfriend we had to have him and it was the best decision we ever made. My favourite thing about him is that sometimes in the middle of the night when me and my boyfriend are sleeping, he would run right up to my boyfriend’s face and meow super loud to wake him up and then run off. I think it’s hilarious.

Describe your biggest pet peeve!

My biggest pet peeve is when honesty is used as an excuse for being rude. There's a difference between 'just being honest' and saying something that doesn't need to be said. There's something about how everyone suddenly feels entitled to an opinion, especially when you grow up with social media and you're use to having a space to say whatever you want. If it's not nice, don't say it at all.

Name 3 things you absolutely can't live without!

First thing would have to be my phone because as generic as it is, it's something that's always with me (and everyone else let's be honest). Second thing would a bottle of Wrath/Poison from Arctic Fox (I'm serious this is a must), because my hair looks and feels so dry and brittle if I don't revitalize it every few weeks with it - and you know how important my hair is to me. Third thing would be my Canon EOS 60D DLSR because I take pictures and record everything. My SD card is basically a visual diary.

If you had one more day to live, what would you do?

Oh this is an easy one! I would do everything that could pump as much adrenaline in me as possible. I love anything fast and I love anything super high. Rollercoasters, sky diving, bungee jumping, you can count me in.

I'm originally from Vietnam. I came to the US 2 years ago to get my bachelor's degree in Business. I have 2 birthday (It's a long story) one real birthday on December 24th and one on birth certificate January 2nd ;) I'm a dog lover.

 What does your typical day-to-day look like? 
Lay on the bed and do nothing.

Just kidding! I'm a boring person. I go to school and work in the morning. Come back home to do film makeup tutorial and edit for the rest of the day. I always talk to friends and use Instagram in my spare time (by spare time I mean whole day 🤣 ) The spotlight of the day must be at night when I can meet and talk to my boyfriend.

 What are three things you absolutely NEED to get you through the day? 
Snack - Boyfriend - Random doggie videos on the internet

How long does your everyday beauty routine take? 
My everyday routine is totally different from what I post online. It usually takes up about 10 minutes only. Skincare prep, eyebrows, mascara and sunscreen. That's all.

What is your go-to OOTD?
I realized I started to wear all pink recently. Usually pink sweatpants, white crop top, pink cardigan and my nike shoes! Yup I'm a sweatpants type of girl.

When did you first dye your hair? What color did you choose? 
Oooh I love this question! I think I started to dye my hair when I was 17, now I'm 22. First color was just hazel brown.

Then I started to do ombré with every color like red, pink, purple, blue, green. I'm just really in love with colored hair and can't go back to my black hair anymore :)
 
What is your all-time favorite hair color combo?
There are a lot! But I think my all time favorite hair combo is RAINBOW 🌈 And that's what I'm going to do in the next few week!!!! So watch out for me Arctic Fox * wink wink *

We know you love Disneyland! What is your favorite ride and why? 
My favorite ride must be Alice in the wonderland! I don't know why, it's just trippy and cute haha

Do you have a hidden talent?
I don't think so. Does eating lots of sweets non stop consider a talent? 🤔 if so I'm a macaron champion Also recently discovered that I can cook too!

What is your biggest pet peeve?
Hrmmmmm I think what bugs me the most is when people are late! Time is gold people time is gold.

If you had only one more day to live, what would you do?
If I only have 1 more day to live? Probably will fly back to my Vietnam to be with family and my baby boy ( my dog 🐶)

Then I'll eat all the food I've never tried before and the last hour of my life I'll do makeup so I'll die pretty 🤣

Maggie Roberts is a Vlogger, hair and makeup artist, and one dazzling mermaid. She was kind enough to answer some questions!

Tell us about yourself!
I just barely moved to LA, like a month ago after being in Mexico for almost four years.  I am bilingual now. I am 22, and something I don't tell most people is that I was married for 3 years and that's why I lived in Mexico. At the moment I am finishing up a divorce.

What does a day in the life of Maggie look like?
I would say that everyday is kind of a new adventure for me. I am going through a somewhat difficult time in my life, trying to get slightly settled again in my country for the first time, because I have never really "adulted" here. I would love to try to give an example of a day in my life, but every day is so different. I always try to have a magical adventurous time wherever I go though. I am a huge believer in love, even though my last relationship didn't work out. I love fairytales, magic and unicorns. That is me. My life will never be a place where you can get too comfortable. I am always onto my next adventure and try to keep life interesting.

What was the first thing you did this morning?
Got up at 7 am and headed off to Disneyland with my sister ✨

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to draw, paint, dance, and sing. I love being with fun people, and I love nature, travel, and unplanned adventures. 

What makes you laugh?
Cat videos and autocorrect 😹😅

Who do you have the best time with?
I have a number of amazing friends and an amazing family, and I love them all, but at this moment choosing one person that I would love to be with right now is Matías Tripi. 

We met in Playa del Carmen. He is from Argentina. He is crazy, and we are both Instagrammers that dedicate our lives to art. We have so much in common, and I think that is why it is so great to be around him. Definitely always inspires me to continue to work hard and grow in my endeavors. 

Do you have a pet?
I had two kitties, but I had to leave them with my ex in Mexico. 😿

What do you love about them?
My cat Gucci was always the sweetest. He would always wait by the door for me to come home and give me kisses. Renee would also be super cute and roll up in a ball next to me. She was very talkative, and would have full-on conversations with me. Lol. 😻💬  

What are three tools in your makeup kit that you can never be without?
Spoon 🥄 , mascara 👀, chapstick 👄.

Who are some people that have inspired you?
Kristen Leanne and her hubby Ryan Morgan. They are ultimate #couplegoals and I love how they are and their accomplishments. I would love to someday be like them. And have a successful, happy, and adventurous life like they do! 

What do you love most about makeup?
I love the use of color. I love that we are in a time where so many colors are available where I can literally create a piece of art on my face.

How long have you been doing hair and makeup?
I am the third oldest of 10 children, and I would cut all my siblings hair since I was 13 years old. I first started doing makeup when I was 7. My sister had a marykay party once with my aunt who sold marykay at the time, and I never stopped doing makeup since. I started with pinks and blues, when I was 12 I used more eyeliners and by 14 I was doing rainbow makeup. I also did face paint 🎨 and stage makeup 🎭 from ages 13-18. 

I started dying my hair just barely a year and a half ago, and couldn't stop. I just fell in love with all the colors! 

When did you realize that you wanted to be a hair/makeup artist?
A year and a half ago I realized I could do it, as a profession, but I have always had a passion for color and makeup. Although I didn't know I would be good at doing hair. That was just a surprise that I loved to do it so much. Especially with colors.

How often do you like to change your hair color?
Every month. 🌈🦄

What's your favorite hair color combo?
I really loved my icy ️❄️ ombré, but the more rainbow 🌈, honestly, the better. 

What do you love about Arctic Fox?
I love how it fades so beautifully. It doesn't stain your hair forever and you can literally try any new combination because it is non damaging, and every color fades, even green! I love the smell of course, but also the intensity and pigment of the colors, I love that I can create my own custom colors. 💁🏻

What's the number 1 thing on your bucket list?
Visit all 7 continents. 🌏

What are you looking to accomplish by the end of this year?
I would like to at least double my following on IG and YouTube. I want to be able to share my world of color with the rest of the the world. I would like to improve my recording, editing, and consistency. I would love to learn to take more risks by being more creative as well.

I’m 23, I was homeschooled by my very Dominican mother, I was raised in Switzerland and still live here, I have BPD (borderline personality disorder) and I’m some kind of weird social media ghoul.

What does a typical day look like to you?
No day is the same but definitely A LOT of food. So much food!

What's your favorite day of the week?
I like Saturdays 'cause I have the most time to work on stuff I love without being interrupted. 

What's your guilty pleasure?
I really don’t feel guilty about anything I enjoy!

Who are you currently stalking on Instagram?
Bex (@bexlecter), Dre (@dreronayne) and Jolien (@crucifucked) those three are the ones I really search for, all amazing artists that I really respect.

What's the third thing you did this morning?
Text my mom for sure, I can’t remember but it’s what I do after I check Twitter and Instagram!

Do you collect anything?
Mistakes mostly haha I’m not a huge collector though, I hate clutter so much that I think that gets in the way of collecting things.

What makes you laugh?
Everything, I am almost always laughing and if I’m not generally I’m hardcore grumping.

What do you love doing in your spare time?
I love video games, I spend a crazy amount of time just lurking Youtube, I love writing stories, I love creating special effects makeup, I’m really into horror movies and I freaking love cop/CSI type shows.

How would you describe your aesthetic?
I think a lot of it is comic books and mangas. They were my whole world in my formative years and I just never grew out of wanting to be one of those characters.

What's currently on your playlist?
The past few days for me have been all about Hole and It’s My Generations version of A Classic.

Last album you listened to all the way through?
Stadium Arcadium by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

What is a dream job for you?
My mother used to read me Edgar Allan Poe and I remember even at seven knowing I wanted to create stories. If I do that through books or makeup or whatever I’ll be happy.

What do you love most about makeup?
The fact that with these few items you can completely transform someone.

What are a couple of your inspirations for your makeup looks?
Again I’m all about the comic books and I like to add something of classic glam. I also really love the whole look of silver screen stars back in the 1920’s.

I know you just changed your hair color but any cool ideas for the next color?
I feel that I did all the cool tones last year, and this year I want the yellows, the oranges, the reds. Even coral but I never know exactly what I’m gonna do in advance and that’s why I have nearly every Arctic Fox color in stock!

What do you love about Arctic Fox?
Absolutely everything. They’re the most vibrant, hydrating, long lasting, they smell amazing and my favorite part which comes to play a lot in the hair colors I’ve had- THEY MIX SO BEAUTIFULLY TOGETHER! 

What's the #1 thing on your bucket list?
I don’t have a bucket list, if I want to do something I do it right away. I was raised very much aware that I was alive for a limited time so I had to make it count. 

What's next for you? Any cool plans for 2017?
I want to be A LOT more creative this year with special effects and even regular makeup. For Youtube I want to keep making fun lighthearted content but I also want to make videos talking about my mental health and creating a dialogue.

It’d also be cool to have more behind the scenes videos so people can see how hard I work for the images that I post and also to keep me accountable and push me to be more creative.

What's one long term goal you're so looking forward to accomplishing?

All I can hope for is to have progressed in the various art forms I love. Probably my goal is to be able to look back at my body of work and be really proud rather than cringe haha
