Arctic Fox Culture | Pride 2020

Pride actually started as a riot led by Queer POC back in June of 1969 following a police raid in New York City. It has revolutionary roots. Read more about that here!

Many of you have been protesting in your cities, signing petitions, making calls and examining everything again, and we are so proud.

Women's Day 2020

I have experienced both sides of being a woman in the workplace. I have been out-numbered, belittled, talked down to, ignored, and appointed to roles that were not a requirement of my position. (Sandwich runs? Really?) What could have been a beneficial opportunity for collaborative innovation and growth in my strengths ended up being a stifling two years of my career. However, I learned how to stand up for my worth.

Women's Day

Although today celebrates the historical moment women were finally granted the right to vote, there are still many inequalities that we face. I am extremely grateful for the courage, strength and determination of the women before us that have equipped the women of today with a tenacious persistence for change. Our fight for human rights, equal opportunity and respect for all is stronger than ever.

Happy Pride, Fox Fam! Pride is a special time of year where we celebrate LGBTQ+ folks from all walks of life, remembering those who have come before us while looking forward to a brighter future for everyone. But Pride really can mean a lot of things - for every person, there’s a unique perspective on it. Last week we asked you what Pride means to you. Every response was perfect in its own way, but these are some of our favorites we’d like to share and celebrate with you!
